    Default Balancing Act

Captured this yesterday in very windy conditions. Handheld , no crop. Think I got lucky.:)

Beautiful capture! My first reaction though is "I wish that the signature/copyright was not so prominent". For me, it really takes away from the great image here.

Cool pose, setting and details. I would give it more room by adding canvas, which should be easy top, right and left and wish the sun would have been behind you. Could you have moved to your right or used fill flash? And yes, the copyright is quite big.

Thank you for that . I have been reading about adding canvas just haven't done it yet, and yes I know my signature is kinda big and distracting. I have it on one of my F- keys so its easy I should change it and make it smaller .

    Hi Andrew,
Is this the Waukesha Snowy? I am in Lake Geneva and she looks like the same bird! (see my Focus post here ;).
Nice capture of her precarious position. The sun angle from your right is harsh on the bird. If you had been able to edge a bit more to your right the sun angle would have been better and her left eye would be better positioned (Though I know that is always easier said than done! ).
The wing capture tells a story - great job with that!
