Photographed near Ndutu, Tanzania Jan 23. 5D Mark II, Canon 500 mm f/4 L IS lens plus a 1.4x teleconverter. Exposure: 1/500 second at ISO 400, f/5.6. Image cropped to 12 megapixels. The AF with a single focus point was a challenge, but I nailed the focus on the eye.
I'm trying to decide if I like this image. I like the eye and the impact, but the many sticks are distracting.
What do you think?

P.S. I had a great trip. Many images to come. The 5D2 became my primary camera (over my 1DII). The AF accuracy and 21 megapixels were stunning, with impressive sharpness at the pixel level.
