WT Sparrow in crab apple tree. Probably should have tried to get rid of the one 'apple' in front of the bird, then I would have had to rebuild feet..Made corporate decision not to (meaning CEO got lazy).

M111, 300f2.8+2xtc, ISO 400, 1/250, +1-1/3 and you are probably looking at the HUGE +EV going WHAT???
Was doing snow caught bird out of corner of eye, click, and cooked birdie. Used quick mask, selective color and a few other things to bring it back to tolerable. Did we do OK here? (yes have mouse in pocket)

Hi Nonda - nice rescue :) I really love the setting on this one. The whites look a bit bright still on my screen - could just be my screen. There is one crabapple fower RHS that is in focus - it is tending to draw my attention away from the bird - I would evict it.

Good Ha and Eye contact - well done :)

Lovely picture Nonda. Love the colour in the crab apples and how the birds puff themselves up to keep warm. Beautiful quality to the light too.
Like the framing and think maybe some of the whites may be a bit bright on the chest.

    Thanks folks.

Jackie the whites are real borderline, no doubt (238 in spots), but they were completely gone at +1-1/3...Best I could get them back..Real BIP moment:eek:

Don't know what it is that makes them look so bright. I stand corrected Nonda. They are on the chart.

Great save Nonda !! Recovered form the grave !!! Normally they have a peculiar look but this is fine !!!

Frame is strong and helps out with the bg I find these difficult to make but pleasing as here when pulling it off !!!
