    maybe not my choice of crop, but these things are flighty, flitchy, quick!! i liked the pose so i thought it might make up for it.

    D300, Bigma at 320mm, f/6.3, 1/320s, ISO 640, flash fill at -1.7EV no beamer

    Hey Mr H - nice bird - Good pose, HA and eye contact, nice ctachlight in the eye also. Sharp were it needs to be as well. agree with you on the crop - for my personal taste there is too much dead space on the left - I might even try this as a vertcal crop.

    Well done - gorgeous BG :)

    Doctor Davis, you are presistant...:eek: you were after a little bird, and you finally captured one...:DI like the capture and the semi blurred wing and tail...the color rendition is good...I tweaked your image by adjusting the mid-tones just a tad and I gave you a different crop factor...see if this sits well with you...:cool:

    Great head angle and eye contact H. Sharp where it needs to be. Like the original post better IMO
