    Default Two in one go



    This was the first time we saw a night heron this close.
    Image made with Nikon D80 on Aperture priority EV -0.7 and
    Sigma 50-500 DG lens @ 500 mm, f7.1, 1/500 sec, iso 640.

    Lovely pose and action - One fish is good but two is amazing!! Focus and BG show the bird well but this looks like a big crop with a lot of softness/artifacting /noise visible. Was this a bit under-exposed and brightened up in post? Some noise reduction and selective sharpening may improve things

    Great capture of this moment. I like the angle and composition. The BG looks quite noisy and the bird has a blue cast and looks a bit soft on my monitor. I would also try to remove the blue cast.
