    Default Gull with Catch

Shot this last year when the Gulls were having a feeding frenzy at low tide. This represents about 3/4's of the image.
Can someone tell me whats in his mouth? Haven't quite figured that out. Image is tack sharp on my monitor but I forgot to resharpen before uploading.

That's a cool in flight image! I would not beging to try and guess what yummy he had. The sharpness looks good on my monitor...maybe a bit more of the focus on the mystery treat, rather than the gull.

Assuming the thing hanging off this morsel are tenticles it could be a Jellyfish of some kind or lolol..I don't even want to guess...guts of some kind or inside of egg sac... the goop dripping off it is very good and getting it so sharp..good job and capture

It would have been worth it to post a sharpened version;). When and if you do be a bit less aggressive on the belly as this is where critical focus seems to be. Strong visual impact for sure. I would have to guess that this may look like a snail (upper mandible touching the shell, and body spilling out and around lower mandible)?

Looks like a type of whelk to me. Ejecting fluid as it tries to retreat to it's shell - I don't think they're tenticles.

Agree with Tony; looks like the soft parts of a whelk.
