    Default Kestrel (Captive)

    Hi There

At the same venue that I shot my images of the Snowy Owl "The Hawk Conservancy Trust" here in the UK I was also able to capture some pictures of "Marley" the Kestrel in the snowy conditions.

This is one of him posing on a snow covered fence post at the edge of one off the fields.

Since you say it is captive, would you have been able to move to your left or right to keep the OOF branches from being in the photo without spooking the bird? Otherwise very nice...with only a bit of canvas to add above, and some work on the eye to give it more life. Again taking advantage of the snow, eh!

I like the snow on the perch, pose and eye contact and agree regarding composition and OOF branches in the foreground. Maybe a bit more contrast?
