We were lucky enough to be informed about a nest of pied-billed grebes near the shore at Viera. There were 4 babies the first day we photographed them. The two puff-balls on the left of the parent are chicks with their heads under the parent's wing. Unfortunately, the next morning there were only two and a caracara was combing the area. I guess it wasn't unfortunate for whatever ate them. Light was a little harsh I admit.

Great head angle on open bill on the chick. Both faces might need a tad more SH-ing. And yes, you did well in the rather harsh light.

I agree with Artie on the sharpening. I would also eliminate the lower catchlight on the parent...it's hiding what should really be a nice and dark pupil there. Excellent interaction!!
