    Default Great Blue with Wood

Having been faced with several days of poor light, I am posting an image from 1/16 taken at Loxahatchee NWR, Boynton Beach, FL. A great blue was building a nest, getting the wood from a vacated nest and offered this view.

Wonderful topshot with nest material, killer. Not an easy one to get IMO. I might take some off the top and brighten it a tad.

Very nice, great wingspread indeed! I like the curled feather at bottom. Too bad the sky is not more vibrant, but I'd take this any day.

Wonderful shot. I'm envious. Were it mine, I might see if I could bring up the colors a bit without giving it an oversaturated look and trim a bit off the top. This is a wall-hanger for sure!

Great pose and details. I would either cut a bit off the top or put the bird higher in the frame.

I'd be pleased to have created this one Michael.

A beautiful flight pose and the stick is great. I wish the bird were flying a bit more toward you so that the head position was a little better, but still a lovely image.

Really nice. I would keep the top and bottom space similar (maybe just a bit more on top) and then make the blues a bit more vibrant.

    Hi Michael,

Love the pose and wings. I would add a hair of sharpening but that would be it for me!

The light is so good and the bird's pose is so graceful, it almost looks like a Renaissance oil painting.

    Superb, Michael.

P.S. If the weather's good, I'll be at Wako tomorrow.
