    well i'm back. i had to wait until i had an image that was good enough to post. this cardinal seemed to fit the bill. bg is natural.:o

    Hi Mike - This is a huge improvement !!! You have good sharp details a good HA and a nice catchlight in the eye - well done.

    I would recrop so the bird is not centred - Bg is what it is.

    Proud of you Mike - a big step forward !!

    Hi Mike,
    Fully agree with Mr. Peters assessment. If your going to center your subject in frame, you need to crop into a pano...on this particular composition I don't think it will work that well. I recommend on you waiting for the subject to move or you move around to find the best possible angle to not have the branches coming out of his head...this one does not do it for me...:cool:

    Glad to see you back Mike !!! Just the cropping for me Came up with a good one ... bird looks really good. btw you are going after the most difficult birds .... little guys are tough !!!!
