    Hi Layton, I'm not sure about the crop on this one, find the space in the middle a little too much before hitting the branches and colours on the right, but nice nonetheless and agree always nice to see a male PW. (they sure have worked that tree over pretty good).

    I like the composition and the space on the right. I would however take a little off the top.

    I love the COMP as presented; everything balances nicely. I think that the whole thing could go a bit lighter. And a bit more head turn....

    What an incredible bird - that red head and crest really sings out from the subdued tones of the BG. Very nice composition and the image shows how woodpeckers use that stiff tail to brace themselves while hammering at the tree.
