I took this one today. Tried the squirrels and didn't get anything I liked.
It was above freezing today and I opened the sliding glass doors to get this at "the holding station", before the fighting begins for a spot at the feeder.

    Jackie,

The the bird, BG and branch! Wish the one eye stood out a bit more? Rather regal head angle, nice work

Jackie, Like the pose and HA -agree the eye could stand out more. I bet it was nice to have a day above freezing! The BG is pleasing!

Nonda, not sure if you meant the other eye, or the one that is showing. At any rate I made the eye stand out a little more.

    Does look better Jackie

I was thinking on a different crop with the bird more to the left of frame with space to look into. I think you were trying to get the perch intact which is a valid option

btw UPCOMING ASSIGNMENT Used content aware scaling to extend the image to the right, will post a short tutorial so you know how to use. Has lots of uses and it's a good tool !!! Available in CS4 only .. compelling reason for updating !!!

    Hi Jackie,
I like your repost...the head angle and sharp eye contact are dead on...I like the details in the feathers and the background compliments your little guy very well...I like Mr. Forns' repost with the bird on the left side...

i like al's choice of crop. nice base image!! love the pose and the perch. IF you wanted to get picky, you could have moved to your left a little to get better separation between the bird and the perch. in any account, it's still really nice!!
