Taken at park, close up of this Spoonbill, very tame birds, most were injured birds and could not be released into the wild...this one had badly deformed leg (I was told it was hit by car)...used my macro lens...Paul

Very nice Paul Don't think I've been to one that close !!!

Did well with camera settings and not bad for the ISO !! Was going to suggest to alter the crop form moving he eye away from the center but will take much of the beautiful color away. For these I normally try to compose around the eye and place in on of the intercepting thirds !!! Do like it a lot as presented !!!

I like the mood and eye contact and would sharpen the head more and increase contrast.

Thanks Al and Axel...I have added sharpening and contrast to the head only..Alfred, your comment about the eye, gave me some ideas to move eye away from centre, added more canvas to the right, made this a horizontal crop, cloned in the missing part of bird. Increased saturation of red and yellow to eye. What do you think? Which crop?
