    Default Eagles on the Mississippi

The Bald Eagle is such a majestic bird. There were 50-60 last weekend by dam 14 on the Mississippi and this is my favorite with the afternoon sun highlighting from underneath.

Nice light and sky - exp looks good to protect the highlights. Good detail under the lower wing but you may be able to pull a bit more from the upper one with Shadows/Highlights or a selective curves adjustment. Sharpening halos on the dark edges are a bit prominent but an impressive pose of an impressive bird.

Pose and BG look good. The shadows are underexposed and the BG looks a bit noisy. Keep them coming!

Updated to bring out detail in the upper wing and did selective sharpening to reduse noise in the background. Thanks for the feedback.

Hi Dave, The repost is much less contrasty than the ORIG post which is a big improvement. I like the angled COMP and wish only that the head were turned a bit more towards us.
