    This photo was taken Sunday, Feb. 1 at Lock and Dam #14 on the Mississippi River.

    Canon 50D, Canon 400 mm f/5.6 lens on tripod, AI Servo.

    Evaluative metering: ISO 400, 1/3200, f/8

    Wow one fine image Dramatic pose and all so sharp Love the eye detail Exposure is right on, good detail in both highlight and shadows !!! btw also like the slightly more room to the right side !!! Would be proud of this one !!! Big Congrats !!!

    Wow...this is a killer capture Kent...I really like this...The composition, image and angle of capture is superb...I like the steep angle of attack...what was he after?:cool:

    awesome exposure, killer pose and nicely sharp! personally i would do something with the blues in the sky. doesnt look quite natural to me. big congrats on the capture. you must have been on cloud 9 after this one!!

    Thanks, all, for your kind responses. I owe so much to the people of this website. The lens I used was recommended by photographers on this site, and I only learned about the Wimberly from Artie's Bulletins. And then there are all the critiques people have offered over the past year. Thanks again.
