Hi Dale Got one flying GREAT !!!!

On the tech side I would change the metering mode, not sure I would use spot. It is the most difficult metering mode to use, really need to know what you're doing.

Did not see the exposure comp but you did as well as can be expected. Softer light is the key. Looks like you opened up for the under wings and the head went a little far. btw when you properly expsoe he head the under wings will look dark and then using shadlow/highlight makes them look weird !! Tough situation just need light.

Crop wise I like the position and would only move a tad away form the edges. btw as presented you can zoom in on the eye and darken the pupil, makes it appear shaper !!! Looking forward to the next one !!!

    Hi Dale,
I like the capture of this majestic bird...agree with Mr. Forns on the techs...My immediate suggestion would be to tone down the hot whites in the head...and give your eagle more room in the rear for the wings...looking forward to your next one...

HI Dale - agree with AL and Brother Gus on the techs - Spot metering is very hard to use for birds on a full time basis, there are the occasions when its better but they are few and far between.
Soft light is the real key to correctly exposing this guy, the best digital cameras have about a 11-12 stop range of light coverage (from light to dark) - our eye see more like a 20 stop range. So in bright light there is to much tonal range from black - white for our digital camera's to capture resulting in blacks with no details or blown out whites.

Agree with the above comments regarding exposure. Crop wise I would take some off the top and add some to the right and bottom to move the eagle away from the edges. Like the pose!
