    I like the composition you chose...really has a nice impact on the speed of the take-off. The twig in the corner is what makes this comp choice work. I would love to see this posted larger (you are allowed up to 1024 pixels horizontally...up to 200kb). I find your black border too thick and bothersome, a simple thin line around the image would suffice. I would also eliminate the smaller twig at bottom (but do keep the one in the corner)

    I have never seen one of these before and this is a very good way to start. The pose is exceptional, but I agree entirely with Daniels suggestions of removing the black border and the small twig.

    I agree with above comments but a simply beautiful bird caught in an interesting wing position with nice lighting!

    Wonderful image. I really like the eye contact and wing position. The composition works for me.
