Taken from a blind/feeder setup in my back yard. The dove was all fluffed up because of the cold. The pose is kind of strange but it grew on me. What do you think?

I like the bird and his pose alot, the fluffy feathers and the slight bit of snow on his perch make the scene. I'm not crazy for the white spots in the background, they tend to dominate the image.

Good details and eye contact. The BG is some what distracting with the white "spots" everywhere. Composition could be better by moving the bird a little more to the right.

    Keep them coming!

    Hi Joel.
I enjoy seen your images and this one has lots of potential IMO.
If you are placing the perches, it would be a good idea to use thinner ones since that one is very robust for your subject. You could also take a few ''testing pictures'' before the bird lands on the perch so you can choose a more uniform back ground.
You know something, I wish I could have taken pictures like yours when I was your age ;)

Well done Joel, some good advice from the previous posters. I love the fluffed up pose. :)
