    Default Red Squirrel

This is my best squirrel photo to date. Unfortunately the photo ended up quite noisy and the BG was overexposed. I did my best to fix it; do you think it could be improved more?

    Olympus SP-510 UZ
    f3.7 @ 1/200, ISO 200
Program mode, pattern metering, auto WB
Processed in PS CS2; cropped, noise reduction, curves adjustment and S/H to tone down the background, and sharpened

    I like the composition Christopher,
The colors and sharp details makes it for me...would suggest on eliminating the three diagonal branches that are touching your subject...aside from this, well done...

Hi Christopher Technically fine I would just follow the little critter and try getting it in the open or with a clean bg !! Not all that easy !!!

HI Chris - I agree with Gus - Nice colours and sharp. Those three branches just take attention away from your main subject.

    keep them coming :)

Hi Christopher, great opportunity of these tiny and extremely fast squirrels! I saw my first red squirrel last week and got one image. I couldn't even keep track of it visually, let along track it with a camera!

Thanks everyone for your comments! Here it is with the three branches cloned out. This squirrel froze when he spotted me which gave me time to take one or two shots before he dashed away.

    Thanks again!
