Went out to a local park today and lucked out with this flyby. Cropped from left and added back canvas in front of the bird. Canon 50d / 500f4 + 1.4x / f8 @ 1/1000th / iso200.

Great wing position and I love the eye and smile. I would desaturate the eye some (unless it is actually that red) and do some recovery on highlights in the wing. Crop good as well. Nice work.

A perfect pose, nice light, good sharpness, and a nice background. I like the look through the nostrils. I agree about toning down the eye a bit. Well done.

Like the watet dropplets on the breast and the pose Trey, looks like he is really stretching that neck out. How high up was he?

Dan, He was not very high at this point but he was trying to gain altitude.

Thanks guys for the input. This was the only one I got with the bird entirely in the frame so I was glad to get this wing position. He caught me by surprise. I will work on the eye a bit.
