Assignment - Image To Work- "Hard At Work"

This was taken late afternoon at Wakodahatchee Wetlands in West Palm Beach County.

Note: This image is a straight RAW file, converted to jpeg format...Nothing was done to it...

Assignment: Work this image, making the corrections and enhancements necessary; using the post processing needed. List all the steps taken to polish the final product...

    Gus,

This is a nice action photo to work...And if you keep supplying your photos to work for fun, I'll never get any of mine worked. :) You have better photos and subject matter than I. Maybe one day though...

    PS work -

I decided to once again leave it uncropped.

I lightened certain areas of the wings and body by masking. I also selected the BG and slightly blurred it with the Blur tool, as well as slightly desaturating it to strengthen the focus on the bird. During that process your sig got blurred a bit, so I cloned it out. Sorry. :( I selectively sharpened areas of the birds beak, eye, wings, stick, and feathers by masking as well.

Finally, I boosted the darks slightly as well as toning down a couple hot spots that I created in the process of working the image.

GEEZ...After posting and looking back at your original again, it didn't look like I did anything but selectively sharpen it. Oh well. I got more proficient with the PS tools. :)

Hi Stefan You did enhance the image and it shows !! Its all about little tweaks

When working on the image would settle first on the crop .... might do something about that before going on to anything !!! :)
