Found this fellow in a dead palm tree in the middle of the day and the light was a pretty harsh.
Should I mess about with the eyes or the tree in PS some more or leave well enough alone?

    Canon50D and EF500mm + 1.4xTC, 1/160 s @f7.1, EV metering +1, ISO 200, ~50 % crop

    Hi Jack

Neat capture I like how it blends with the tree Does have a strong cast The re post is just color balanced!!
Easiest way to color balance would be using one plug in. I use iCorrect Lab Pro from PictoColor All you do is open the
plug-inn and place the cursor on a neutral area, here I chose the eyes and just click. Will be done for you.

Can also do manually, again go to a neutral area and place the eye dropper. All you need is to get all three numbers
showing equal in the swatches palate by tweaking the colors !!!

I like the composition and capture Jack...well done The owl blends in perfectly...Mr. Forns' repost with the color correction is dead on and puts this very fine image over the top in my book...congrats...looking forward to your next one...

I like the composition as is. How the heck you found this owl and that it just stuck the head in that hole for you to take that shot is beyond me ;)
