    One more image of the Loggerhead I found at Viera, pound for pound these guys are one of the toughest birds out there I have seen them prey on lizards and snakes as large as them along with other small birds.

    40D, 500 f/4 + 1.4TC, 1/800 at f/5.6, Aperture Priority, Evaluative Metered, Raw, ISO 400, Tripod, Slight Crop

    What a wonderful capture. That bird oozes cool for me. If anything, I would prefer a little less space below and a little more above. But that's my taste. Wow! :)

    I am quite fond of barbed wire too. This particular strand is a bit new for my liking. I prefer rusty old wire. It looks more natural to my eyes.

    Minor niggles aside, nice eye contact, exposure and sharpness. Well done.
