I was torn between cutting off some of the splash from the foot or not cutting it off and centering the bird. I ended up cutting off part of the splash.
With a bird on the move I like having room up front !!! Might take a little of the top, just above the wave on the right. Got a good pose with raised foot, food held in bill and good bg. All you needed was softer light !!!
