    Photographed in June 2006 near the Cape Bonavista lighthouse in Newfoundland.

    Very cool, I like the composition, setting, exposure control and the open bill adds to it. I might sharpen the eye a bit more.

    love the open mouth and pose. good exposure and sharpness. perch seems a little overwhelming but I like it.

    Wow love everything about this one Mike. Awesome composition and the open beak puts it over the top for me. Neat how it's mouth matches his feet. Great image !!! and you gotta love those feet :)

    i got to see these beauties in NL, they are really amazing little birds. Difficult to differentiate the eye from the face too. I like the calling pose and agree a bit more sharpening would help it. Thanks for the nice memories this one brought me :)
