Hello and thanks for any suggestions.
Aperture: f/8, and a shutter speed of 1/4000, 0ev, ISO 800, Nikon D3 with 500mm, no flash, handheld, full sun and no clouds.
Cropped a little and selectively sharpened around the eye.
    Thanks, Tommy.

Hi Tommy - A big warm welcome to the BPN Family :)

Nice first post and with my fav camera no less!! You have sharp details and a good head angle with eye contact and a nice catchlight in the eye. WELL DONE!!
For my personal tastes, i would like a little more room on the left hand side - so you could just move him out of the centre a tad.

    Looking forward to more :)

    Hi Tommy,
    Welcome to the BPN family,
I fully agree with Mr. Peters' assessment of your posting...I would suggest boosting the saturation and contrast ever so slightly and re sharpen the eye just a tad more...I like the pose and the soft background with the earth tones really compliment your subject...good show...and looking forward to seeing more of your images...

    Big Warm Welcome Tommy !!!

Agree with suggestions !! Main point being having more room to the side he is looking at, just looks better out of the center !!! btw nothing wrong with cranking the ISO since its a great performer noise wise but might lower it a bit .... use a tripod and less shutter speed :) Looking forward to more !!!!

Thanks for all the suggestions, and going so easy on me.

Gus, I never know when to say when to the saturation. How do you know when it is too much?

I really appreciate all the input.
    Tommy
