Fading light, only thing done to this was crop for compo and add Glamour Blur filter in Nik Color Effex Complete.
It reminds me of the old dutch paintings in the colors and light.

    This is excellent Miss Fabs,
The combination of light and contrasting shadows puts this over the top with a fantastic feel and mood...well done Maestra...:D:cool:
What type of filter effect is this? Can I get it as a stand alone or as a plug in for CS4?:)

It's a plugin for PS, you need to get the complete edition, because the Select one does not have all the filters. I've been trying to find it for educators and students and no one has this version. It costs $299  and I can get it as an upgrade to my Select edition for $149. Still thinking about it, and using my 9 days left of free demo.
Nik Color Effex Pro 3.0 complete edition.

Same bird, same day, Denise, thanks. Just playing around, I used the same filter of the one I posted and absolutely love it. I'll post it next. I'm really considering upgrading to the Complete version

You sure get some sweet light down there in Florida. I might be tempted to lighten the neck area just at the curving parts to emphasize that a bit more.

Lovely Fabs. The look is definitely old masters style and I like the way the side-lighting highlights the back of the bird. The textures of the tree are echoed by the feathers on the bird's back. Very pleasant to look at!

Thanks, Jack, I can give them that :) I work for the local Comm College :)
I think it's a new version, they incorporated the control points of Viveza, that must be why some providers don't have it yet.
I'll bookmark your link, good to have.
