Waxwings are not very common winter visitors to the West side of the UK and always create a lot of interest - they come from Northern Scandinavia.

Neat pose...waxwings are some of the most entertaining birds to watch and this shows why. I like that we can see a little bit through the wing feathers. Image has some noise...especially on the tail and wing that could be reduced with some careful QM + NR.

Way cool pose and head angle. Lightening the iris a bit and darkening the pupil would likely increase the apparent sharpness as might selectively sharpening the head a bit.

Very nice image. I love the extreme pose :)
Bit less shadow on the throat would be better, I guess.

Thanks for the suggestions which I have tried in the repost. Image about 80% of full frame. BTW, ALL comments and crits very much appreciated.

A very cool image! I love the pose with the nice natural berries for your perch. I saw Ten Cedar Waxwings in my yard, this week-end and was so excited, as I rarely see them in my yard. They never came down close enough for good photos. All the waxwings are such neat looking birds. thanks for sharing this one.
