    Default Western Grebe

Heres one from yesterday that I hope you will enjoy. I just love the deep blue color in the water :)

Before anyone suggests getting lower...it was impossible in this case and so I went for a bit of a reflection.

    Cheers!

This is great Glen, love the blue of the water with the ripples , yellow of the beak and of course that orange eye. Drops on the back too.

    Hi Glenn,
I am not too bothered by the higher angle, since there is good eye contact and the grebe stands out from the water pretty nicely. The colors are off this world......excellent shot all together!

Nice one Glen, love the ripples around the grebe and the blue water compliments nicely with the yellow bill and orange eye. Exposure spot on retaining good detail in white plumage. I like it!!

Great exposure control, details and colors, Glenn. I think it needs a bit CW rotation.

Nicely done Glenn. Love the reflection and the ripples in the water. Exposure is spot on, and that is always a challenge with these grebes.

Glenn, this is very nice. I rated it with the maximum. I guess it is not always important to have an image taken at eye level.
The reflection and the beautiful rings could not have been achieved at lower level.

As had been mentioned, the water is a BEAUTIFUL blue. The pattern of the water, the lines of the neck, the cropping--this is very nicely composed.
