I identified this bird as a female junco. I hope I am correct. I like the pose, the light and the surroundings.

I can't help with the ID, Tom, but I like your image. Interesting perch with nice light and a comfortable pose. You've managed the exposure well to show the feather details while keeping detail in the snow. A slightly lower position may have got the bird against a more distant BG which may have blurred a little more and slightly less head turn would have been a little better. I would try a slight crop to remove most of the little slope on the left.

I think you are right on the ID and like the setting, light and BG. A slightly lower angle and a bit more eye contact would have been nice.
