    Reposted for squirrel week, captured at June Lake in the wonderful Sierras. Sharpened the nose a little this time. :)

    Canon 400D, EF70-200mm f/2.8L@200mm, 1/200sec@f/2.8, auto WB, evaluative metering, AI servo focusing

    Hi Kerry,
    I like the up close pose...I like the diagonal perch...you have sharp details and good color rendition and the background hues compliment your little guy making him stand out...good show...looking forward to more...:cool:

    Looks good Kerry !!! With these close ups the point of focus is critical due the lack of dof. I think its best to have it on the eyes, in AI don't forget to recompose ... in these situations if you are not used to the back button to hold focus just go to single shot !!! I prefer holding focus in case there is action !!!

    Thanks all! Alfred, this past weekend I started shooting using the AF-ON button on the back of the camera. I love that I can use AI-Servo mode and stop the focus to recompose. Thanks for your tips on this subject!
