First post over here in the wildlife forum. Here are a couple of p-dogs from Wichita Mountains NWR last week.
Wasn't sure about the crop, how well does this work. Maybe too tight.

Nice light Dan, and good eye contact from both of them. I am not a huge fan of the square crop, a little may help but I do not know which side to put it on.

I love the poses and expressions. The square crop is okay with me. The FG is very good and adds to the image but I would try to get some more seperation with the BG.

Dan, I love the entire image as is -would maybe just remove the dark shadow from left corner as the tones throughout the image are just great!!!

Hi Dan....Nice capture of the 2 Prarie Dogs. My preference would be to add a bit of contrast to the image. The subjects are close to the backround color and I feel could use some separation...

    Dan,
Lovely interaction going on between the two. I would like to reduce the temperature a bit. Lovely tones. Well diffused bg. The f9 aperture has given you lot of depth of field. I don't mind the square crop for this image. Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers,
    Sabyasachi

    dan,

Square crop works AOK IMO. I have been to that refuge (did workshop there last fall). The light can be so fantastic on them. Well done capturing that.

Lovely as presented, although it could also look good with Sabyasachi's idea. Great interaction.

Thanks all for the comments. I will go back and try to see if I can get a little seperation between the p-dogs and background.

Robert, I have really been impressed by the light there. I am there once a week and have had consistant awsome light in the evenings. This was taken as the sun was about to drop behind the mountains. Really cool place!!!

Lovely catch Dan....perhaps a tad too warm for my taste...but I love the interaction here.
