    Nice light you had to deal with, and I like how the subject perched atop the apex of the arched branch. An additional round of USM and a slight contrast boost would really make the image pop. If you tweaked the colour of the sky you forgot the spot between the feathers beneath the perch.

    I fully agree with Daniel's comment, great shot though, great light, lovely perch, stunnig colors and detail, comp is alspo great to me. Congratulations!

    I spotted my error in missing lightening the piece of sky after posting, I will look into your suggestions.

    Great light, eye contact and head angle. Contrast looks good on my monitor but I agree regarding more sharpening and the spot between perch and wings.
