    Shot last Sunday at Wako. Even with a 400 5.6L, it was hard to get the GBH ff as it headed for its nest.

    I cropped it to get the wings at the the corner to make the best of it.

    Too much lens is much less frequently a problem than not enough! Lovely warm light. Maximal sharpness seems to be on the neck plumes leaving the eye a little soft. Maybe some selective sharpening would help.

    I like the light and don't mind the clipped wings at all. The sticks adds to it.

    The critical focus plane is not on the eye but, man, this image is terrific and the light is fantastic. Crop works fine for me. Very well done and I am envious :-D
