One from our workshop back in November. Have been looking at the posts and it seems this group should be called, Eager to Turn Professional. The pics have been truly amazing.

Figured out how to get rid of the funny looking bokeh with surface blur.
    Cropped for composition.
    Comments appreciated.
    Thanks!

Lovely hawk Jackie. I might crop it closer---but I tend to crop too close.

Jackie, The colors and exposure look great ,the details look fantastic, like your DOF-well done. The crop is hard and I don't know since he's looking out of image and his wing is open on the other side,I would have cropped it as you did.

I really like how the one grass on the left circles around to frame the hawk as it keeps me focused on that beautiful eye and colorful beak. Sharp, good detail and an unusual pose...nicely done, Jackie.

nice capture! love the wickedly furocious stare. the only thing that sticks out to me is that piece of grass that intersects the beak on the left. maybe it could be cloned out?

Hi Jackie - exposure is spot on, love the eye contact and the alert pose.

Agree with Mr H on the grass that intersects the beak.

    Well done :)

Was thinking along the same lines as Mr H but now that you said in his mouth I can see it.

Crop and everything else works for me!
