    Hi Denise,
I quite like the composition of your picture. I can't see it needing to be lighter. I do think it needs to have a bit of Contrast? I am not sure that if what I see so I brought it into Photoshop and adjusted the levels so that I liked the result. I brought the black and white sliders into toward the gray slider.
I wanted to post the result but that doesn't seem to be available to me. If you have have Photoshop you might want to try it.
    Take care,
    Clive

Clive, Thankyou, I felt like it needed some kind of tweak just not sure what it was!Sometimes when you work on a photo for awhile it's good to get other input, esp. when there is something wrong-Thanks!

    Hi Lady Denise,
I like the composition and capture...you have good sharp details and a good head angle...would have liked to have seen a lower capture angle; but perhaps it was not possible...:)I adjusted the mid-tones, increased saturation and contrast just a tad...see if this presents best to you...

Denise, nice shot. I like what Gus has done to give it a little extra punch. Was it an overcast day for shooting? Like the removal of the couple of blades of grass on the right too.
