    Lots of character in that face. Does a good job of capturing the toughness of these animals.

    Ken,
    This is a nice expression. Face tells a story. I agree with the suggestion to go tight. It seems you had a good trip.

    Thanks for the comments, as always I was uncertain about the crop, I will try a tighter one. It was certainly a good trip if you like African Wild Dog (which we do), we saw them on 7 out of 8 game drives and followed them hunting on 4 occassions, the youngsters ate well!

    Ken,

    I would agree with tighter as the BG competes with the dog. Like the open mouth and tongue. I would suggest when possible, go for a low image too as the BG will be more blurred if it is distant.

    Ken, I like the expression and the closed eye. I agree with the above on a tighter crop. Nice job on one of my favorite subjects!

    Here is a "tighter" version, what do you think?

    It is probably my equal favourite subject with Cheetah.

    This looks much better. Looks like some dust in your sensor, just above the shadow.
