Background looks a lot bluer than it is on my screen!

Very nice Lance with lots of details. Lovely, soft looking little thing. Only nit I have is little speck off to the left. Dave

He's got his eye on you, Lance.

    Beautiful bird well presented.

Do you turn off stablization when using tripod? Have had conflicting answers to that question.

Many thanks for sharing another beauty with us.

Hi Gus - The sigmonster does not have image stabilisation - hence dont have to worry. General concensus I beleive is to have it turned off. :)

Hi Lance, I love the expression on your chick, sorta world weary, and at such a young age! Lots of detail and beautiful contrasting blue and white. Would you consider brightening the eye?

Nice one Lance. I love the texture and contrast of feather versus bill. The poor thing does look tired though... I would agree with sharpening the eye as well as bringing up the level there as it is in dark shadow on the left.

Love the composition and the head angle. Don't know if you are going to get picked on because of the light hitting your subject ????

Hi Oz - maybe lighting wasn't ideal - not a lot of options though as this fellow is perched on the side of a cliff and I had nowhere to go to get the sun behind me except over the cliff - and it's a long long way down - LOL.

    Very nice Mr. Peters,
I like the capture angle....you display good head angle and good eye contact...I like the bold blue contrasting with the whites of the bird...good show...

Love the BG Lance. Checked the histogram and thought the whites were out just on the edges of the bird on the jpeg, but maybe not the original file. Very nice.
