    The bow-tie is a nice touch, I like the layered look of the BG. I like his placement in the frame and he has a beautiful rack!

    Near perfect from my perspective. Great environment that really complements the deer. Love the bowtie. From FG to BG the changes in color and focus add depth to the image and the sharpness of the deer from front to back makes it look 3D.

    I don't know it anyone sees this, but Steve has a very recognizable style to his images - and that is a compliment. When I see the thumbnail, I know it is his. The 100-400mm (vs. the more limited DOF in a 500mm or longer lens) allows him to create the perspective in the images I describe above and I see it again and again in this posts. Wonderful work Steve.
