I wasn't able to get a better BG and i didn't think it was a good idea to clone it either so I left it as is. I like the pose, he was checking me out or maybe he is just a Nikon fan :)

Nice low angle Rene. The head angle could be better IMO; either looking right at you or a nice profile. This is somewhere in between the two. I don't mind the BG at all. Can't help you with the ID.
No clue on the species.... I like the head angle and the quizzical look. If you could have gotten even an inch lower you would have placed the head against the more distamnt and therefore softer background. I slight contrast boost might be in order. The single leaf merging with the belly is unfortunate. Lefter and lower if possible would have been great.

A more conventional head angle loses the inqiusitive look. The same leaf still bugs me even though it does not merge with the belly... Again, inches lower would have been much better if possible.
