i like how the sky fades? to the lighter shade on the right. poor choice of words but you get my meaning. i'd run a slight round of sharpening on the eye. nice job!!
Hi Denise - Nice one :) Agree on sharpening the eye - I always go by feel when sharpening eye's just play around with the sliders until you find something that works - then I usually just back it off a tad.
Sometimes a little bit of lightening of eye does the trick, and I would always try a tad of USM 20/1.0/0 and check slightly lower or higher to decide.
Is your sky a diagonal gradient with cloud brushes?
Many thanks for sharing another fine BIF photo

BTW; Heard from one of our original members, Richard Kalwoski, still with UA photographing & keeping track of the stars at the observatoy. I remember he came up with HA police post that attracted a lot of attention, still there.
Lance..Its Nonda not Denise, but I would be Denise happily if that also meant Snowy in the area;)
Gus yes a grad on the diag and then faded (blue white grad) used probably 4 different cloud brushes each on its own layer so I could tweak opacity for each one. Not sure how that is suppose to be done, or if that is normal process that I figured out on my own:) It seems to me doing it like that you get more depth?
The clouds are the key here Nonda They sure look interesting Will give them a try with my laptop but not sure what I will be able to come up with !! ..... maybe David can come in and give us a hand !!!!
The result speaks for itself, Sure you could use the brushes without the layers, and tweak the opacity on its own, however, I like them on their own layer because you can turn them on & off and decide any time which ones you want to keep or not.
