Hi Gina - nice bird - you have done well handholding at 600mm - sharp details and nice pose.

I find the OOF stick in the BG to be a distraction (easily removed with your PS skills) - I am not sure about the perch - Diagonal Corner to corner - gives the feelof cutting the composition in half - be intresting to see what others think - ONLY my humble opinion of course.

    looking forward to more :)

    Hello lance:

    How does this look now?

Looks like I just cropped it, however, cropped out piece of branch, gave it 0.5 CW rotation, put it back, smoothed with low opacity eraser and cropped it to lower branch a bit more. Oof branch doesn't bother me as I like to try and keep things looking natural

    Hi Gina,
This is one beautiful image and capture...componsitional wise, the perch needs to be adjusted or shifted over so that it does not come out of the intersecting corners of the frame...also need to remove the out of focus branch on the lower side...the exposure is dead on and you have great details and very good color rendition...the head angle and eye contact are in check...congrats on this beautiful capture...looking forward to your next one...
