We often get an influx of Stonechats during the winter months, these little birds are more often than not very approachable. Using cars as hides and resting the lenses on beanbags you can follow them up and down the road side verges while they forage for insects.

Very nicely done, Tony. You captured a good pose, the bird and perch are sharp, the light is nice and even, the comp is pleasing, and the background tops it off. I might remove the bit of the perch that touches the right edge of the frame.

I like the head angle, perch, soft light and BG. I might have increased the ISO and stopped down a bit more. I agree with Steve regarding the perch on the right.

Lovely soft light and puffed up plumage. Perch and BG are good - agree re cleaning up the twig touching the frame edge

Lovely shot Tony, I have got quite a few shots myself but none so colourful, he looks as if he is beginning to start developing summer plumage.

Wonderful bird, pose, BKGR, head angle, light, and sharpness. I would boost the contrast a bit and then lighten the mask some. The broken off section of the perch to the left of the bird (and angled upwards) bugs me the most.
