    Default Snow Goose landing

From a recent trip to Bosque - on only one day did we get perfect light and wind to capture snow geese landing and for me this was the best of the bunch.

I chose to get rid of some of the out of focus birds but left two as I rather like it for balance

Very nice pose and i like the placement in the frame but I think would add a little more canvas to the bottom. I also would clone out the other birds there so OOF you spend to much time trying to figure them out rather then enjoying the main subject.

The goose looks great from an exposure and sharpness standpoint. You might have been able to expose slightly further to the right to get more detail in the blacks. I would move the bird higher in the frame since it is a landing pose. I would also remove the OOF birds; my eye is drawn to them.

Great pose and sharpness. Beautiful image. I support Doug's points.

Love the great action and excellent exposure in this image and I do agree that moving it higher in the frame and removing the OOF birds would strengthen this image. Many thanks for sharing.

I like the landing pose and would have dialed in positive EC. With the Mark III you can easily go to ISO 400 without adding much noise and you would have a higher shutter speed. I agree regarding adding canvas at the bottom and removing the OOF birds.

P.S. We posted at the same time. The repost is a big improvement! I might lighten the shadow of the neck more.
