    Default Limpkin

The Limpkin was a life bird for me when I visited Florida recently. I like the detail in this head shot.

Details are perfect as is the light. I like the tight framing. A winner image IMHO. :)

Great light, details and complementing BG. I would love to see a crop with the entire bill.

I know, I was just trying to say that the crop doesn't work for me. :)

I think this crop would be fine if the birds eye was angled just a hair more toward you or the viewer.

Problem is with it as it stands, while the head angle is OK, the subjects eye is ever so slightly looking away.

I assume you have the eye repositioning tutorial?

(I've tried it and suck at it, but it must work :)

Spectacular detail in great light and a perfect background, Doug. Here's another vote for including the entire beak, but this image is very impressive as is.

I liked the detail so much that I tried to emphasize it with a tighter crop. Limpkins have such long bills that the head would have been much smaller in the frame if I'd included the whole bill. Oh well. Back to the drawing board.

Doug, I like it alot, the light and detail on the bill and eye are superb! The crop is nice as it's interesting and creative. The BG colors are very nice-well done.
