Delightful Alexander! Beautiful sharpness and a great background. But I hope those blossoms are not from 2009!!

Great detail and pose and BG, Alexander. Minor nit: the flowers to the right of the bird are a little distracting to my taste. But overall, I love it!

Fabulous image Alexander. I really like how the bird arches in line with the branch behind it. :)

Lovely bird and BG! Great eye contact too. I wish you had a bit more canvas at the bottom, because the bird's foot looks a little clipped. I would be tempted to clone out the vertical branch, because I too find it a little distracting next to your beautiful subject.

    A proud bird.

I have a very good feeling about this image, love the colors and details.

I grew up reading a book by Alfred Brehm "Life of birds" full of images like this one.
They were all paintings though. You did it with photography.
    Congratulations!

    Cheers, Ilija

I like this a lot, Alexander. I don't mind the branches and blossoms as they are providing nice dynamic diagonals. The small blurred one where the 2 join is a small distraction. Agree with Doug re a little more room below.
