Hi Denise...I like the pose and the eye contact. I think the crop works but I would bring it in a bit on the left to where the little branch is bent and clone out the balance. For my taste I would clone out the small brown patch on top.

    Denise,

I like the fox and its positioning though a bit lower angle would be preferred IMO. The left side is not doing anything for the image in my estimation. IT also looked a bit soft so I sharpened it (USM 175/0.3/0 and 125/0.2/0) and cropped it. Just going back and forth from up computer to BPN pumped up the saturation.

The raised paw is a big plus.

I agree with Robert's repost. The raised paw and winter environment are elements that improve the image. I would have preffered to have the fox raise his head to give the viewer a better eye contact. I love the detail in his whiskers.

Awesome capture with the strong eye contact and the raised paw... I agree that the more vertical and tighter crop really makes this one work.

I agree with Robert's repost. The crop is good as the earlier composition was taking the attention away from the eyes. The sharpening has helped a lot, as is the increase in saturation and contrast.
