I captured this image at well known a bird hide near Johannesburg. I used the 45 sensor AF mode on my1D MK III after having the sub-mirror fix performed on it and it worked flawlessly. I particularly like the way in which the colours in the bird is reflected in the background. The early morning light ensured rich colours, especially on the reeds reflected in the water. I ran a mild noise filter on the background. All comments are welcomed.

Camera Model: Canon EOS-1D Mark III

    Flash: Off
    Metering mode: Multi-segment

Another great image Chris. I love the colours, the detail and the way the duck is looking straight at the camera.

Great shot Chris - love the colours, composition and eye. Only niggle for me is the yellow of the extended webbed foot (airbrake :)) is pulling my eye away from the main focal point.

Great details and BG. I wish for more wing/head separation and the upper side of the wings has some blue cast.
