I created this image in the summer of '07 near Sheepeater Cliffs in Yellowstone National Park. I rarely photograph these birds, but seeing a nice uniform background behind this one as it hopped up on a near by fence post gave me the opportunity to make this capture.
As above. In addition, I love that the front of the face, the eye, and the bill are razor sharp while the feathers on the back of the head are so soft and fluffy. Great BKGR. My standard ISO with my Canon EOS-1D MIII is 400.
