The GBH has been photographed so much and one is always looking for a different pose. They are such gorgeous birds and I never get tired of watching and photographing them during the courting and nest building or any other time of the year although their interaction during the courting time is hard to surpass.

Hi Judy, I love the pose, wind feel and detail on this one, I don't mind the branches as she is perched on the nest, but I would try to remove the one branch that goes thru her neck. Congratulaitons!

I like the wind-blown look you've captured here Judy... I don't mind the branches so much as it gives a great sense of setting and the environment for this cool bird.

I definitely like the feathers blowing all about the place. Sure is different and nicely composed in its habitat. :)

I like the wind-blown plumage and eye contact and agree regarding the branch crossing the neck.

Love the eye contact and the effect of the wind on the feathers. I agree about the branch overlapping the heron :-)
